Hello, can anyone elaborate on the following ETS question please?
Teratomas are unusual forms of cancer because they are composed of tissues such as tooth and bone not nomally found in the organ in which the tumor appears.
A.
B. because they are composed of tissues like tooth and bone that are
C. because they are composed of tissues, like tooth and bone, tissues
D. in that their composition, tissues such as tooth and bone, is
E. in that they are composed of tissues such tooth and bone, tissues
The right answer according to ETS is E. In that case, ETS forgot to type the word "as" in front of the word "tooth" in E.
I do not understand why E is favored over other choices. Can anyone thoroughly explain please,
much appreciated,
BART.

What Erin is trying to explain here is the difference between LIKE and SUCH AS. Erin I read that a couple of months back and really liked your explanation.
A: Is incorrect because it means that ONLY bone is not found in .......
B, C Are incorrect due to difference in Like and SuchAs.
D: wrong structure of the sentence.
E: Adding 'Tissues' make up for deficiency in A. Hence Correct.
